Rift PlatRescuers dug a soldier on the ruins of his house partially destroyed today of three floors in the earthquake and tsunami-devastated city Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture.
The man, aged in his 20s, returned home yesterday while trying to save belongings, reported Kyodo News, referring to information of family members.
Weak and unable to speak, the man was taken to hospital in the city according to the representative of the Ministry of Defence, which confirmed a previous report of NHK television to find a family. Several State Department spokesman later said the military rescuers do not know how long the man was fighting fit. Both speakers refused to be identified.
The balance of the magnitude 9 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on 11 March 7197 reached 10,905 dead and missing since noon local time, according to the National Police Agency.
